
About Me
Sonel Cutler is a fourth-year journalism and political science combined major at Northeastern University, currently based in Washington, D.C. Sonel has experience reporting on higher education issues nationally for The Chronicle of Higher Education, as well as on metro news as a correspondent for the Boston Globe. She is currently the Editor-in-Chief of The Huntington News, Northeastern's independent student newspaper, where she oversees all editorial and business operations and manages a staff and editorial board of 80 students.
Sonel's work in

As a reporting intern, Sonel covered issues and trends at colleges and universities across the country. Her reporting focused on institutional finances, artificial intelligence and the wave of nationwide pro-Palestinian encampments that occurred in the spring of 2024.
